servoaltimeter/servo-assisted altimeter

A type of pneumatic altimeter in which an aneroid mechanism moves an electrical pickup, amplifying the signal to drive a servomotor. The servomotor, in turn, moves the drums and the pointers. This type of altimeter is more accurate than the sensitive altimeter and may be mounted remotely from the sensor.
